Bent Hanger
A long overdue clean and oil was given to the bike last night. Sadly that’s where the good news ended. I’ve noticed a couple of times that the gear change is not what it used to be. A quick look on the net for adjusting indexed gears and I’m looking to see what can be done. The only problem is that my fall a few weeks back seems to have bent the dérailleur hanger. A tool to sort out the problem is now on the way from Wiggle (it should pass my Altura cycle jacket being returned today in the post).
Now tonight (after placing the order) I find that I may have been able to replace the hanger (see here). Hmmm…
